There are a large number of websites where you can find detailed news, financial reports and other information about the company. When doing a search to find information about a company, consider checking the following sites

SEC.gov, company.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) provides financial and business information about publicly owned companies. EDGAR is the Securities and Exchange Commission’s electronic data collection, analysis, and retrieval system. All companies, both foreign and domestic, are required to submit registration statements, periodic reports and other forms electronically through EDGAR. Anyone can access and download the information for free.

EDGAR is a major source of company information. You can retrieve real-time filings for a specific company and find key company information, such as company name, address, phone number, incorporation status, Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC), and end of fiscal year. You can also find the company’s Central Index Key (CIK) number, which is the unique number assigned to individuals and companies that file disclosure documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
